Why I hate Fernando Alonso

The events in the Chinese Grand Prix finally confirmed what I had felt all along, that  Fernando Alonso is one of the most spineless, cowardly, egotistical, and insecure drivers in the history of motorsports racing.

Alonso, aka The Spineless Spaniard, is the former and current Renault F1 driver who suddenly bolted back to the French outfit for the 2008 season after being outperformed, outmanuevered and outgunned by a rookie driver at McLaren in 2007.

Rewind back to 2006.

Just before the end of the 2006 F1 season, the two-time world champion ceremoniously dumped his boss Flavio Briatore and team Renault after being informed that the French manufacturer’s entry  for the 20007 season would not be able to compete with Ferrari and McLaren, severely diminishing the Spineless Spaniard’s chances for a 3rd consecutive F1 title. The fact that Briatore helped the ingrate secure two consecutive F1 World Driver’s Championships in 2005 and 2006 was of no consequence to the gutless wonder.

So off he went to McLaren Mercedes in 2007, where visions of himself reigning supreme amongst other drivers danced around his strangely disproportionate head. “Sure, why not?”, he wondered. They had the best car that year, just as his former team did the past two seasons. So what could possibly stop him? Or better yet, who?

The “what?”, was the emergence of the most exciting new young talent in Formula One that year and the “who?”, came in the form of a 22 year old British driving sensation named Lewis Hamilton, his new McLaren teammate.

After a competitive first half of the season where the F1 world saw the points battle seesaw back and forth between the two McLaren drivers, Senor Gutless hopes for a 3rd consecutive title  was flushed down the drain  when his the stellar young Brit won a rain-soaked affair in Suzuka, Japan in extraordinary fashion.

Much to the team’s dismay, however, the best both could manage for the season was a tie for third place.  Great for a rookie but not for a highly touted two-time world champion. Furthermore, McLaren was fined   $ 100 million dollars and stripped of their constructor’s points for their involvement in the now infamous spying scandal, which traced its origin to an email between Pedro De La Rosa, another Spaniard and current Ferrari test driver and you guessed it, the one and only, Fernando Alonso, aka El Burro (The Ass).

To make matters worse, Aloner, all throughout the season, expressed his utter displeasure that a rookie is being allowed to compete with a two-time world champion for the number one spot at the team from Woking. In short, Senor Gutless, no matter how hard he tried, could not handle a little mano-a-mano with a young and unproven neophyte protege.

And so he bailed. Back to his old team, which ties he cut abruptly just 12 months prior for being non-competitive. How ironic?

Fast forward to 2008.

While El Cabezon (Big Head) drove his Renault car for 5th place overall in the driver’s standing, Hamilton  was crowned the youngest ever World Driver Champion, beating the previous mark held by none other than Aloser. La venganza es dulce (Payback’s a bitch).

Also in Shanghai, El Burro, (The Ass), confirmed just how slimy he really is when he freely admitted that he would love nothing more than to stifle his once teammate and now hated rival, Hamilton’s F1 title chances by helping Massa, who trailed the Englishman by 7 points heading into the penultimate round in Brazil, with his quest of the F1 crown.

Incidentally, this is the same Massa that Capitan Chupa (Captain Suck) has been trying to unseat at Ferrari, so that he can drive for the Scudderia Rosso outfit next year. Unfortunately for him, the boys from Maranello decided to keep their current team, Massa and Finnish driver Kimi Raikonnen, intact until the end of the 2010 season.

Ay que pobrecito, Alonso!

In addition, the Spanish Fly, stated that he agreed with the stewards’ decision to hand Hamilton a penalty during the race in Japan, even though he didn’t see what actually happened or what Hamilton did to incur the penalty. Clearly, this was a statement he made based purely on his disdain for the Englishman.

This man, I mean slug, has no class, whatsoever.

In short, El Burro is the most arrogant, backstabbing, hate-mongering, and pitiful personality in F1 racing today. Watch your back Nelsinho, because you’re next. Try not to overtake this perrito (little dog) at the driver’s standing, or any chicane, for that matter. He just might bite you from behind.

And that is why I hate Fernando Alonso!

Now go choke on a quart of oil, El Nano.
